I'd rank this restaurant top tier amongst similar restaurants. Decent menu, food is good, service is okay. I really enjoyed their pasta dishes, they are well thought of and have complex flavors. Steak was cooked accurately, In general, portion size is medium.
So far, the best restaurant I’ve been to around Sheppard-Yonge, or North York in general. Food was so delicious, fresh, good portions (not sure about options for those w food restrictions), and the service was great. Overall atmosphere was busy (we came around dinner time on a weekday), but not super loud and chaotic. I would absolutely go back and recommend this restaurant!
Cactus Club delivered an outstanding dining experience! Even though the restaurant was packed, the energy was vibrant, and the service was top-notch. Our server was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome and well cared for. We ordered four steaks, but two were overcooked. When we mentioned it to our server, they handled the situation with professionalism and care. They quickly brought out perfectly cooked replacements and, to our surprise, only charged us for two steaks. This unexpected gesture truly demonstrated their commitment to customer satisfaction. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Cactus Club for its excellent service and dedication to ensuring a great dining experience!
Loved my experience here at Cactus Club! I came here to celebrate my birthday and all of the staff was very friendly. Our waitress, Key, was the best! She was very attentive with us and gave us amazing recommendations. As for the food: 10/10! I highly recommend the Tuna Stack! The ingredients are well-balanced and the taste melts in your mouth. The location is well located on Yonge-Sheppard centre, which is good because you can find underground parking. Overall me and my party had the best time here and would likely come back again!
Drinks are really good and affordable. You can barely see a cup cocktail cost 15-18 in Toronto, they are usually above 20 per drink. We ordered two rounds of drinks and they all taste great. Also, the food was so tasty above expectations! Classic burger 100% recommend, the prawn spaghetti is my favorite! For the appetizers we ordered crab cake and tacos, they all taste good. Its really to hard to park tho, haha we found our car in the garage around 30 mins. Luckily they offer free parking underground and that's really nice.
Had dinner with a few good friends. The place was bigger than I expected! Fun and trendy, not overly formal, but still family- and friend-friendly. I liked the variety of menu options and would definitely come back for happy hour. If you're bringing kids over 10 years old, it's totally fine. The washrooms were clean, too. Parking is free after 6 PM. just ask your server before you leave. Just a heads-up, the service was a bit slow so keep that in mind if you are in a rush. Let rhem know in advance.
Catus might be my new fave spot for happy hour I got the steak frites, avocado dip, and salmon aburi. I started off with a Peach Bellini, it was so good and super strong! Came on sunday at 9pm and it was super busy, but got sitted right away, I would recommend making a reservation if you have a perferred sitting like patio, bar, longer, hightop etc. Steak frites 8OZ comes with fries (upgraded to truffle 3.50) and salad. I would give it a 7.5/10 I did ask for medium rare but they over cooked by a little it tasted a bit dry as well, the downtown location made it way better tbh. Avocado dip was super delicious and the favourite appetizers of the night! the gauc was super smooth and tasted super good with hot sauce on the side 10/10. I didn’t find anything special for the aburi salmon roll, wouldn’t get again 7/10! They’re located on top of a building so you will either have to take stairs or elevator (wheelchair accessible) there’s a Green P near by, wouldn’t recommend street parking. Clean restrooms and the restaurant was quite spacious, love how they have 2 entrances. Our server Anya was quite busy but she attentive and checked up on us every once a while. She was nice and fast to get little things we asked for! She helped us get my friend her bday london fog creme brulee for her bday as well!
Celebrated our anniversary here on the patio and had a great time during Happy Hour. Our server Rosey was wonderful and attentive. She checked up on us often and cleared our table frequently. The view and atmosphere was great minus the emergency vehicle sirens here and there. The food and cocktail here were fabulous too. Definitely one of our favorite locations of Cactus Clubs including those I've visited in Vancouver. Underground parking though was a bit confusing even with instructions and signage. Getting in and out was a lot. Parking validation time frames were a bit annoying; we had to pay for a balance because our time rode in between two time slots that wasn't covered by the restaurant.
